Ensure that Seward Towers remains affordable for current and future residents.
Continue to provide services to residents that help in navigating “the infrastructure,” such as training, youth activities, and employment opportunities (“Being poor is a full-time job”).

Preserve and strengthen the unique and already strong community within the Seward Towers while recognizing how much the demographics and culture of the resident population have changed.

WELL MAINTAINED.
Develop viable financial plans for keeping the Seward Towers affordable after 2031, and for capital improvements and maintenance beyond a “break-fix” strategy.
Ensure the Seward Towers property is
well-maintained so that it retains its value
and maximizes our options in the future.
TENANT PARTICIPATION.
APPROPRIATELY STRUCTURED.
Encourage resident participation in the management of the towers (as a priority over governance of the towers,) realistically reflecting resident interest and capacity, while ensuring that management is genuinely influenced by resident participation.
Adapt the current governance and operating structure to reflect these principles, the current ownership structure of the property, and the culture and capacity of the current residents
